Two words with Andrea Salomoni
Andrea was born in 1976 in Milano, and has always been deeply passionate about pedagogy and instruction. After a successful stint in IT as a software engineer and designer, he decided to pursue his lifelong dream: aviation.
He began his aviation studies in Lugano and quickly advanced to flying the legendary Saab 2000. His career then took him to Eastern Europe, where he flew for the first private airline in Romania and the Republic of Moldova. After gaining valuable experience, Andrea returned to Switzerland and settled in Basel with his multicultural family.
Since 2010, Andrea has been an active A320 pilot for a well-known British airline based in Switzerland. In addition to his flying duties as airline instructor, Andrea collaborates with numerous European airlines to develop and implement Evidence-Based Training (EBT) and Competency-Based Training (CBT) programs for the A320 family. His extensive expertise extends to his work as a TRI, TRE, and FI/FII on both SEP and MEP aircraft.
Andrea is also a dedicated evangelist of Upset Prevention and Recovery Training (UPRT) and a leading expert on Loss of Control In-Flight (LOC-I). He combines his technical knowledge with his passion for aviation safety to help pilots develop the skills needed to handle the unexpected.
In his free time, Andrea enjoys flying in the Alps with his family and exploring the skies in the iconic Pilatus P3.
Andrea welcomes you to Wings Level, where passion meets safety in aviation!
