Meet Ulf, the new Wings Level PPL(A) Instructor!

We are thrilled to welcome aboard Ulf, our seasoned Flight Instructor!

Ulf brings a wealth of experience as a distinguished airline pilot, boasting expertise across various aircraft types. With a robust background as a highly engaged flight instructor in Finland over many years, he’s now set to elevate our students’ PPL training experiences.
Based at our home-base, Birrfeld, Ulf will be readily available to guide and mentor our aspiring pilots toward achieving their aviation dreams.

Ulf is available for: PPL, Advanced tactical training, SEP renewal Training and Class Rating SEP.

HB-CXQ visits in 6 days more Swiss airports than…

Our 4 CPL Students Fabian, Juri, Joshua and Sèbestien from our home-base Birrfeld LSZF, have flown in 6 days to the following destinations:

LSPL (Langenthal)
LSGT (Gruyère)
LSZW (Thun)
LSPM (Ambri)
LSZS (Samaden)
LSZA (Lugano)
LSZT (Lommis)
LSPV (Wangen Lachen)
LSZK (Speck)

They have totalised 36 hours flight time, covered a distance of around 2040 NM (the same distance between Birrfeld and New York!

Wings Level in Saanen!

On October the 6th 2023, the HB-CXQ landed in Saanen for the first time.

This flight was part of Wings Level PPL training “Navigation in mountainous area”

With sheer determination and a love for flying, Matt successfully completed his first solo flight from Birrfeld Airport, making history as the first student to do so in the PPL Wings Level program.

New Blog – Loss of Control in Flight

Wings Level strongly believes in sharing information as part of its mission statement. A sound safety culture can be achieved only when all the stake holder (pilots, ATC, instructors and ground personnel) are aware of what has happened in the aviation industry and have learnt from these events.

It is in this optic that Wings Level have developed a new section of the Website called “Educational“. At this time the educational section is organised in two main areas:

The Knowledge section collects various articles on the Loss of Control in Flight, UPRT and advanced training subjects

The Accidents / Incidents section contains a chronological list of events and a brief description / analysis. Each event can be commented. No registration is required.

First flight for our Cessna C150K Aerobat!

On Tuesday the 26th 2022 our Cessna C150K Aerobat took off from Birrfeld (LSZF) with the first Wings Level student.
