Loss of Control in Flight (LOC-I) and Upset Prevention…
In the EASA annual safety review 2020 have been listed all the occurrences (incidents and accidents) happened during several years and an analysis of potential threats to aviation divided into different domains: Commercial Air Transport Aeroplanes, Specialised Operations, Non-commercial Operations.
Without any surprise the Loss of Control in Flight (LOC-I) and the aeroplane upsets have been identified as the highest risks for all domains.
Commercial Air Transport Aeroplanes
The figure on the left shows the aggregated risk calculated for large aeroplanes and private jet European operators. EASA rates the aircraft upset at the third place in these therms.
If you are a CAT Airline, Air Taxi or an NCC Operator contact us to discover Wings Level Upset Prevention and Recovery (UPRT) and Loss Of Control in Flight (LOC-I) training offers.
Specialised Operations
The scope of this section covers Specialised Operations (SPO) involving aeroplanes of all mass categories having an EASA Member State as State of Registry or State of Operator.
The figure on the right shows the aggregated risk calculated for SPO European operators. EASA rates the aircraft upset at the first place in these therms.
If you are a SPO Operator contact us to discover Wings Level Upset Prevention and Recovery (UPRT) and Loss Of Control in Flight (LOC-I) training offers.
Non-commercially Operated Small Aeroplanes
The scope of this section covers non-commercial operations (NCO) involving aeroplanes with a maximum take-off mass below 5 700 kg with an EASA Member State as the state of registry.
The figure on the left shows the aggregated risk calculated for non commercially operated small aircraft European operators. This includes flight schools and private owners and ranks the risk of aircraft upset at first place in this area.
