EASA Advanced Upset Prevention and Recovery Training (UPRT)
What is the Advanced UPRT Course
The EASA Advanced Prevention and Recovery Training (UPRT) course covers a widely recognised aviation training gap and is the answer to the continuing need for increased safety in the industry. Recent aviation history has demonstrated how a perfectly trained crew flying a serviceable aircraft could lose control when faced with adverse situations of aircraft upset. Recover manoeuvres from such events are often counterintuitive and unknown to most of the crews.
By exposing pilots to such unfamiliar situations, the Advanced UPRT course helps them build resilience and gain the required knowledge and competencies to recover from startle effect and avoid fatal accidents.
Why Advanced UPRT?
On December 20, 2019 EASA made one of the most significant changes to its regulations.
According EASA FCL.745(A), all pilots starting their first MPA (Multi Pilot Aircraft) type rating must have completed an Advanced UPRT (Upset Prevention and Recovery Training) course.
Wings Level, together with its partner ATO, offers the Advanced UPRT Course on its Cessna 150 Aerobat.
