Martin Baumann is a 1978 vintage. He started flying in the FVS program (todays Sphair) since he wanted to become an airforce pilot. However that plan changed a bit and he started his flying career at the age of 22 flying MD80ies for Crossair in ZRH. After two years he joined Lufthansa Cargo on the MD11 for 2 years. Nowadays he flies 777s for a British company. He became a VFR Flight Instructor in 2005 and an IR MEP Instructor in 2010.

He is a passionate flying instructor who always had one leg in the light aircraft flying business. With his experience of almost 17000 flying hours, many of which as an instructor, his main motivation is to transfer knowledge and skills to the next generation of pilots.
